Jolanda Richter - an award-winning artist - was born in 1971 in Netherlands. She studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and graduated in 1999. Since then numerous exhibition activities in groups and individual leaded her through Europe and USA. By now she lives and works near Vienna.
Her language is painting, her words are figures, her imagery deep felt replicas and modern interpretations of the world around us. Her artistic works are impressing with formal creation, technical mastery and the ability to express drama and emotion within the constraints of a painting. Richters artwork bears undeniable poetical elements, but she does not get stuck in a romantical, transfigured view of the world.
"I don’t paint fashion-paintings since fashion is fast moving. My art is influenced by the spirit of the age, though ageless. I want to touch the midst of the human-being."
