Leo exhibited frequently in Australia before relocating to Europe in 2003. There he met many other established artists working in Fantastic Realism. Having established a new studio he set about implementing a new direction in his painting technique.
In 2006 Leo started working with Jon Beinart to program and design the popular beinArt Surreal Art Collective website.
He started exhibiting throughout Europe with various groups as he came into contact with more artists and curators. In 2008 he was invited to exhibit in Japan with the Internation Fantastic Art Association. He later exhibited with them again in Paris in 2009. Later that year he went on to establish the Fantastic Visions project.
Leo has gone on to exhbit in a number of high profile exhibitions and have his artwork published many times.
"The subjective reality of my work is a je ne sais quoi, a deja vu, a persistence of memory that will strike me at the oddest moments. It is the sensation that is familiar, and environment and situation that were until that moment familiar or real, but now unfamiliar or unreal. The moment is surreal."
"It is in that moment that we experience illumination, or if it eludes us, a nightmare."
