The world inside my mind always seemed larger and much more amazing than the world surrounding it. As soon as I had found an appropriate technique to make these inner visions visible to others, that’s what I’ve been doing – making images that depict the creatures that enter my mind. I often find myself exploring the human body through my work, stripping it of its real-life limitations and manipulating it into curious new shapes.
The photos from which I create are always my own, as I need to control every aspect of this process. My art is without doubt what matters most to me these days, and I have time for little else in my life. But then again, I have little need for anything else in my life.
