I was born in 1972 in Norman, Oklahoma, U.S.A. I graduated from Otis College of Art and Design and Whittier College in 1996 with degrees in Fine Art in Illustration and Applied Arts, respectively. I then got a job as a waiter, moving up to the position of bartender in only eleven months. I continued painting, enjoying it. Eventually, my memories of idyllic childhood led to a worthwhile theme in my work; that is, the exploration of the beauty of youthful memory, filtered through adulthoods's dull knowledge. Fortunately, conversations across a bar swell with such energy. I decided to emerge as an artist by building an inventory of paintings, with 'reinterpretive nostalgia' as my conceptual approach. These images are some of the results to date. I am represented by Joe Wade Fine Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Enjoy your drinks...
