Born in 1973, Sam Jinks currently lives and works in Melbourne.
Featuring among his major solo exhibitions are: Sam Jinks, Boutwell Draper Gallery, Sydney (2007); Sam Jinks, West Space, Melbourne (2007); Sam Jinks, Seventh Gallery, Melbourne (2007); Distortions, West Space, Melbourne (2005) and Sam Jinks, Benalla Art Gallery, Victoria (2006).
He has also participated in numerous groups exhibitions including: Voiceless, Sherman Gallery, Sydney (2007); Truth and Likeness, National Portrait Gallery, Canberra (2006); Random Access, McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park, Langwarrin (2002); Victoria Baby, First Floor Gallery, Melbourne (2002); Diamonds in the Rough, Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne (2001) and Sleeping Man, Ardwolf Gallery, Melbourne (2000).
Sam’s work can be found in the collection of McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park, Langwarrin along with numerous private collections in Australia.
