"I am Mediterranean by birth. My first painting was made on a beach in Monte Negro on hot sand, and I remember that I was sad when a wave destroyed it. Subsequent experiences with the sea and sand, and seeing half-naked and naked bodies on the beach, combined with my first erotic and sexual experiences, had a great impact on my artwork. I have only one way to express myself through art, and while seeking it I take thousands of wrong ways; they all prove to me that only that one way is the right way, and unavoidable. And so what is promised to me became the found one, because the forms are put on, amorphous, intended for everyone, and the light should be created in them. The light that would give them colour, luminosity, warmth, smell, touch and a new world free of weight – the space at the end of the world, at the point where the sea and the earth meet, the place that we have forgotten and to which we always return, the beginning of everything. And again I found surprises. Women, everywhere present, constantly running away, in accumulated infinity, where everything real is transformed in the imagination, where the play of coloured pearls starts."
